Guide by task · Events and check-in
When this guide is for you
- Registrations arrive by email and end up in a spreadsheet
- You do not know how many are coming until the day itself
- At the door, someone ticks names off a printed list
- Volunteers at the door should not see members’ contact or payment details
How it works
01
You publish the event
with time, place and ticket types
02
People register or buy a ticket
free or paid, in the same checkout
03
The attendee list fills up
places are counted as tickets are sold
04
Helpers check people in
by scanning the QR code or searching by name
05
Members see it on My page
upcoming and past events, with check-in status

Common questions
Does a ticket make someone a member?
No. Tickets do not create membership. Only products marked as membership do.
Do we need special equipment for check-in?
No. A phone with an internet connection is enough. Scanning uses the camera, and name search works without it.
What do the helpers at the door see?
Helpers get check-in access to one event. They cannot edit anything and do not see contact or payment details.
What if the same ticket is scanned twice?
It counts once. Undo cannot overwrite a newer check-in by someone else.
Can people come back in after leaving?
Yes. You can check people in, check them out or undo, and people can come back in.
