We operate your site for you
Every UT site is operated by United Technology or an approved partner. Hosting and operations have a separate price per site, in addition to package software. The price follows the site’s needs, never the number of members.

A dedicated server for your site, for large customers and specific requirements such as data location.

All prices exclude VAT. Pay yearly and get two months free. Municipalities pay the standard price. Package software is priced separately: see packages and prices.
What we take responsibility for
- The site’s server and sufficient capacity
- Caching and CDN so pages load quickly
- Backup and recovery
- Monitoring site availability, speed and security
- Security updates for WordPress and the server
- Email from the site: receipts, reminders and notifications through the email account you choose (see below)
- Help when the site is down or slow
Software is priced separately: new UT versions, bug fixes and short questions from administrators. Bugs in the system are always fixed at no cost.
Which tier fits?
The tier follows concurrent logins and the site’s needs, not member count. We propose a tier in your offer.
We measure actual site usage. If a higher tier is needed, we give 30 days’ notice. A large number of accounts does not itself increase the price; we plan with you.
Where your site is hosted
We are transparent about our server providers. The provider’s price covers the server alone; our operations price also covers the work above.

Email from the site
The site sends receipts, reminders, notifications and newsletters. You choose how email is sent. We do not recommend a particular provider.
With your own account: you create and pay for an account with an email provider in your own name. Many associations can use a regular Google account and its daily free email allowance. We connect the account during onboarding.
Through us: we hold the account for you with an agreed provider and monitor email delivery. You pay the provider’s list price without markup, plus $29 per month (non-profit $23). Setup is included in onboarding; adding it later costs one hour.

Providers’ list prices excluding VAT, read on their websites on 6 October 2026. They may change. Other providers can connect through SMTP. Free personal accounts such as Gmail and Outlook.com do not provide a data processing agreement.
Off-site backup is not yet available. Its agreed price is $19 per month (non-profit $15), or $190 / $150 yearly. It will only be offered once the backup platform is built and tested. External file storage with United Media requires this add-on. Setup is included in onboarding; adding it later costs one hour.
Common questions
Can we host the site ourselves?
No. You receive the features and Site Manager role; we handle hosting, updates and security.
Why are operations priced separately?
Software follows the package. Operations follow the site’s needs, so a small site does not pay for a large server.
Do add-ons, onboarding and hours have separate hosting?
No. Add-ons run on the site’s hosting; onboarding and hours are work.
Can we change hosting tier?
Yes. The offer specifies the hosting tier, based on actual usage and your agreement. If it needs to increase, we give 30 days’ notice.
