How a cabin owners’ association gets a website and member system

A walk-through for the board: what a cabin owners’ association usually needs, which package and modules cover it, what it costs and how to get started. The figures are an example, not a quote.

Example · Association package

Does this sound like your association?

  • The board changes every year or two, and knowledge leaves with it
  • The member list is a spreadsheet only one person can update
  • Fees are paid by bank transfer, and someone has to chase the rest
  • Owners get information by email, and not everyone gets it
  • You need to know who owns which cabin, plot or mooring

Questions boards ask

Does the price go up when we get more members?

No. The price follows the website, not the number of members.

What happens when the board changes?

Roles move to the new board members, and the history stays with the association.

Can owners see each other’s details?

Each owner controls what is shown about them, and what others see follows their role.

Do we need Vipps?

No. Card, PayPal and invoice are included. Vipps is an add-on.

We are part of a federation. Which package is right?

If the federation uses the Federation package, your association gets its own page there at no extra cost. Read the federation guide.
